Originally from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Alen Hamza immigrated to the United States when he was fifteen. He holds an MFA from the Michener Center for Writers in Austin, Texas. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Crazyhorse, Better, Fence, Narrative, Phantom Limb, and elsewhere. He is currently a fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.
