Marcel Herms is a Dutch artist who makes paintings, drawings, (book-)objects, and audio-art. His work was printed in many publications and he designed a lot of record- and CD-covers. He collaborated with many different visual artists and audio artists from around the world.
He released more than 100 CD’s and some zines and booklets on his label Anima Mal Nata .
His work shows expressionistic, raw images of people and animals. His art has rough edges and displayes a not so positive view on mankind and especially social miscommunication and incomprehension between people. Alienation. Those are things that come back all the time. It’s always pretty grim.
